About Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are an effective, simple way to address cosmetic flaws on the surface of the teeth as well as gaps between the teeth. Veneers (Lumineers, No-Prep, and Davinci) are thin covers that are custom made to fit each patient's teeth and fit comfortably on the outer surface. Our Beachwood Dental team can successfully place porcelain veneers on our Los Alamitos, CA patient's teeth to cover up stains, cracks, chips, or gapped teeth in order to present a more appealing and cosmetically uniformed smile. This is a minimally-invasive procedure that offers quick, longer-lasting results to anyone looking to restore their smile and confidence. We invite our patients to schedule a consult with our dentists to discuss their options and goals.
Porcelain Veneers Reviews
"For years I’ve been self-conscious about my front tooth that has been dead since I was a small child. I had whitening trays, braces, special tooth brushes, an expansive smile yet, to embarrassed to shoe it. I’ve seen others with certain procedures like veneers And what not, but you could tell something was still there. I spoke to Dr.Todd and asked his professional opinion, we came up with an approach that could address several issues all at once. Well yesterday I went it for a crown, and a few other things to help with the soar ness of the existing tooth, two hours later....WOW! I can NOT stop smiling! Dr.Todd and the team did such an amazing job! Low key I teared up a little when I saw myself in the mirror and after taking a photo with my friends that night out in LA. My smile was showing, my teeth looked like a Colgate smile! My confidence was restored, my pain was gone, everything was AMAZING! I’d 125% recommend anyone who is looking for any procedure, even a simple cleaning, to please give this place your time! They take passion into what they do, and you can hear it in their voice, and in their work! Passion , Pride , and Perfection! That’s what you’ll find here and that’s what will keep me coming back! Thank you ALL soooo much"- K.C. / Google / May 10, 2019
What to Expect
To begin the process of making the veneers, our dentist must make room for the veneer by removing a thin layer of enamel from each tooth that will be covered. Once the teeth have been prepared, our dentist makes a digital impression of the teeth, which will be used to create the custom veneers in a dental laboratory. A temporary veneer will be used to cover the teeth until the porcelain veneers are returned to the dentist's office. The custom veneers will be attached to the front of the teeth with a special resin bonding agent. Our dentist will adjust the veneers as needed to give you a comfortable fit.
A follow-up appointment is usually scheduled for about a week after the veneers are placed to make sure the bond is secure and the fit is still comfortable. Porcelain veneers are more resistant to staining than your natural enamel, but to keep the veneers in their best condition, it is advised to avoid staining foods and drinks, like coffee, soda, tea, and red wine. Patients should continue to follow a good home oral care routine, including brushing their teeth with a non-abrasive toothpaste, flossing, and visiting our dentist for professional cleanings and dental exams. With good care, porcelain veneers can last up to 20 years.
